REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1 Switch off ignition    
2.1 Secure vehicle on vehicle lift To remove the LH oxygen sensors  
Model 207 AR00.60-P-0100CW
Model 212, 218 AR00.60-P-0100EWS
2.2 Raise vehicle To remove the RH oxygen sensors  
3 Remove engine compartment paneling   AR61.20-P-1105EW
  Remove LH oxygen sensors (G3/3 or G3/5)     
4 Detach rear engine crossmember from vehicle underbody and lower transmission   AR22.10-P-1180CW
5 Detach CAT from exhaust manifold and transmission and secure against falling down IMPORTANT Sensor cables must not be subjected to tensile stresses.

6 Unclip electrical connection (G3/3x1, G3/5x1) for oxygen sensor from bracket on transmission (5)    
7 Remove oxygen sensor (G3/3 or G3/5) from catalytic converter (1) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Coat thread with heat-resistant lubricant. Ensure correct routing of oxygen sensor lines.

  Remove RH oxygen sensors (G3/4 or G3/6)     
8 Unclip electrical connection (G3/4x1, G3/6x1) for oxygen sensor from bracket on transmission (5)    
9 Remove oxygen sensor (G3/4 or G3/6) from catalytic converter (2) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Coat thread with heat-resistant lubricant. Ensure correct routing of oxygen sensor lines.

10 Install in the reverse order    
11 Read out fault memory with STAR DIAGNOSIS and erase if necessary   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

12 Test run engine and check exhaust system for leaks
