	Remove/install
1	Read out variant coding of ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) using Star Diagnosis
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory	When installing a new ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10). Transfer stored data to new ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key
3.1	Remove front upper engine cover (1)	Engine 276.9 in model 231
3.2	Remove upper engine cover (13)	Engine 276.8 in model 231
4	Unclip ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) upwards	Engine 276.8 in model 231
5	Disconnect Electrical connections (4, 5) on ME-SFI control unit (N3/10)
6.1	Pull out ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) and mount (2) from bracket (3)	Engine 276.9 in model 231
6.2	Remove ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) upwards	Engine 276.8 in model 231

18	Personalize and activate ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10)	When installing a new ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).
	Check
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
