Remove/install Distronic sensor (DTR) - AR30.30-P-1010NKB

MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with CODE 239 (DISTRONIC PLUS)

NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from electronic ignition lock control unit    
2 Remove Mercedes star   AR88.40-P-4050NKB
3 Unlock and detach electrical connector on DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89)    
4 Pull DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) out of bracket IMPORTANT The DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) is engaged with three ball studs in the bracket.  
5 Install in the reverse order    
6 Perform adjustment of the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) using Star Diagnosis    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04A
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 17 21 00 Adjusting device   WS30.00-P-0006B 
    IMPORTANT Adjustment of the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) is necessary after:
  • replace
  • detach/attach
  • mechanical damage
  • accident repair in front area
  • alteration of the camber, track width, caster or of the vehicle level at the front or rear axle
