	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key
2	Remove air filter housing (4)	ENGINE 276.9 in MODEL 212 ENGINE 276.9 in MODEL 218
		Bolt, air filter to cylinder head cover	*BA09.10-P-1001-01M
		Bolt, air filter to air intake pipe support brace	*BA09.10-P-1002-01M
3	Remove engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105EW
4	Unclip electrical feed line for left oxygen sensor downstream of CAT or right oxygen sensor downstream of CAT (G3/5 or G3/6) from heat shield (3) and bracket
5	Unclip electrical connection (6 or 8) from bracket
6	Disconnect electrical connection (6 or 8)
7	Detach left oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter or right oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G35 or G3/6) from CAT (1)	ENGINE 276.9 in MODEL 212 ENGINE 276.9 in MODEL 218 Remove left oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/5) or right oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/6). Coat thread with heat-resistant lubricant. Ensure correct routing of oxygen sensor lines.

9	Unclip electrical feed line for left oxygen sensor downstream of CAT or right oxygen sensor downstream of CAT (G3/3 or G3/4) from heat shield (3) and bracket
10	Unclip electrical feed line of left oxygen sensor upstream of CAT (G3/3) from vacuum reservoir (2)	ENGINE 276.9 in MODEL 212 ENGINE 276.9 in MODEL 218
11	Detach and take out vacuum reservoir (2) from ME-SFI [ME] control unit bracket	ENGINE 276.9 in MODEL 212 ENGINE 276.9 in MODEL 218
		Bolt, vacuum reservoir to bracket	*BA43.05-P-1002-01K
12	Unclip electrical connection (7 or 9) from bracket
13	Disconnect electrical connection (7 or 9)
14	Detach left oxygen sensor upstream of CAT or right oxygen sensor upstream of CAT (G3/3 or G3/4) from CAT (1)	Coat thread with heat-resistant lubricant. Ensure correct routing of oxygen sensor lines. Oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter*BA14.00-P-1005-01A
		Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20	*BR00.45-Z-1005-06A

15	Install in the reverse order
16	Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and clear if necessary
			AD00.00-P-2000-04A
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
17	Carry out an engine test run and check exhaust system for leaktightness
