3	Turn rack-and-pinion steering (5) to center position (front wheels in straight-ahead position) and fix steering wheel in place using holding device	Do not turn the steering wheel when the steering coupling (1) has been detached. Otherwise the clock spring contact will be destroyed.

7	Remove steering coupling (1) from rack-and-pinion steering (5)	Pay attention to installation position. The guide lug on the dust cap (6) must be seated unstressed in the groove of the steering coupling (1) (arrow).
8	Install in the reverse order
