DC/DC Converter Control Unit, Basic Function - GF54.10-P-9891B
MODEL all (CAR)
with CODE ME01 (Electric motor)
except CODE B01 (48V technology)
Location
The DC/DC converter control unit is in the rear area of the engine compartment on a holder.
Task
The DC/DC converter control unit consists of an output unit and a logic section. The output unit connects the 12 V on-board electrical system with the high-voltage on-board electrical system and allows energy transfer in both directions. The logic section is responsible for communication with other control units and for actuation of the output unit.
The DC/DC converter control unit is connected to the network architecture of the vehicle.
The DC/DC converter control unit also processes the following information:
- Circuit status
- DC/DC converter mode request
- High-voltage output voltage/current request
- Low-voltage output voltage/current request
- High-voltage battery voltage
- Voltage, 12 V on-board electrical system battery
- Battery disconnect switch status
- Deep discharge protection status
The DC/DC converter control unit processes these input factors and also sends the following information:
- High-voltage output voltage/current
- Low-voltage output voltage/current
- DC/DC converter mode
- DC/DC converter status
- Fault messages
