Overview 

This document contains the following information:

Location 

The crash sensors are located on the left and right in the front bumper.

Task 

The crash sensors are connected to each other via a hose. They record the pressure in this hose. The pressure increases e.g. when the bumper is pressed in. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) control unit evaluates the data from the crash sensors.
