Function
The electric power steering actuator motor converts the torque calculated in the electrical power steering control unit for the power steering. This torque is transferred by the electric power steering actuator motor to the steering gear of the rack-and-pinion steering via a worm gear or a belt drive. The electric power steering actuator motor is attached to the electrical power steering control unit in the center area, on the steering gear of the rack-and-pinion steering.
