Task
The liftgate control unit has the following purposes:
- Reading in of sensors and signals
Reading in of sensors and signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via direct lines:
- Liftgate control Hall sensor (M51/3b1)
- Liftgate control position sensor (M51/3b2)
- Left EASY-PACK liftgate anti-pinch protection contact bar (B86/1)
Actuation of components
The liftgate control unit actuates the following components via direct lines:
Transmitting signals
The following signals are transmitted via the interior CAN:
- Open liftgate, request
Location
The liftgate control unit is located in the right rear sidewall below the side window.
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
- Transmitting signals
- Right EASY-PACK liftgate anti-pinch protection contact bar (B86/2)
Interior CAN
The following signals are read in over the interior CAN:
- Vehicle speed
- Status of driver trunk lid/liftgate control button (S15/3)
- Status of liftgate rotary tumbler switch (M14/7s1)
- Status of liftgate control button (S62/36)
- Terminal status of terminal 15
- Status of liftgate open/close button on transmitter key (A8/1)
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
- Liftgate control warning buzzer (H4/60)
- Liftgate control electric motor (M51/3m1)
- Switch on illumination for liftgate control unit (status feedback)
- Position of liftgate
