	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m)
2.1	Remove radiator trim	Model 166.0 up to model year 2016	AR88.40-P-4001GQ
2.2	Remove Mercedes star	Models 166.0, 292
		Model 166.0 as of model year 2016	AR88.40-P-4050NKB
		Model 292	AR88.40-P-4050GQC
3	Disconnect electrical connector (1) at the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89)
4	Release DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) from the fastening clips (2) and remove
5	Install in the reverse order
	Initial startup
6	Perform commissioning of the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) using the vehicle diagnosis system	When replacing the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89).	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
7	Calibrate the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) using the vehicle diagnosis system	When replacing the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89). Removal and installation of the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89). Alterations of the bracket. After accident repair in front area or alteration of the camber, track width, caster or vehicle level at the front or rear axle. Adjust the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) with adjusting device.
