Location
The front passenger seat control unit is located at the bottom of the front passenger seat frame.
Task
The front passenger seat control unit controls the seat adjustment of the front passenger seat. For this purpose, the front passenger seat control unit implements the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of signals
The front passenger seat control unit reads in the signals of the right front seat adjustment switch group (S23) via the center console switch LIN (LIN B12).
The right front door control unit (N69/2) reads in these signals via the right front door LIN (LIN B6) and sends them via the interior CAN (CAN B), SAM control unit (N10), and center console switch LIN to the front passenger seat control unit.
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The following motors are actuated via direct lines:
- Front passenger seat fore/aft adjustment seat adjustment motor (M28/1) (with CODE 560 (Electrically adjustable front seats))
- Front passenger seat height adjustment motor (M28/2)
- Front passenger seat inclination adjustment motor (M28/3)
- Front passenger seat backrest inclination adjustment motor (M28/5)
