Component Description For 360 Degree Viewing System Control Unit - GF54.65-P-5003GR
MODEL 166 up to model year 2016 with CODE 501 (360 degree camera)
Shows model 166.0
Location
The 360° camera control unit is located under the driver seat.
Task
The 360° camera control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
- Output of signals
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- LVDS (Low voltage differential signal)
- Chassis CAN 2 (CAN E2)
Low voltage differential signal
The signals from each of the following components are read in via a separate LVDS line:
- Left side 360° camera (B84/7)
- Right side 360° camera (B84/8)
- Camera, front 360° camera (B84/9)
- Camera, rear 360° camera (B84/10)
Chassis CAN 2
The signals for activating the 360° camera and for calculating the representation on the Audio/COMAND display (A40/8) are read in by the 360° camera control unit via chassis CAN 2.
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see appropriate block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The components are actuated via chassis CAN 2.
The signals are sent by the 360° camera control unit via chassis CAN 2. The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see appropriate block diagram or function schematic).
Output of signals
The 360° camera control unit sends the image data via an analog video interface to the COMAND controller unit (A40/3).
