Location 

The RCP [HBF] control unit is located in the center console between the front seats.

Task 

The rear climate control and seat heater functions can be set via the RCP [HBF] control unit. This in turn means that the RCP [HBF] control unit is responsible for the following tasks:

Reading in of signals 

The following input factors are read in via the interior CAN (CAN B):

Evaluation of input factors 

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Output of signals 

The following signals are issued over the interior CAN:

This data is used to control or regulate the air volume of the rear vents through the rear blower motor (M2/1) and the rear temperature control by the rear air distribution flap actuator motor (M2/35).
