Location 

The Electronic Stability Program control unit is located on the traction system hydraulic unit in the front left of the engine compartment.

Tasks 

The Electronic Stability Program control unit contains the control for the following systems:

IMPORTANT In vehicles (with CODE 23P (Driving Assistance package Plus)), the variable speed limiter and the cruise control are integrated in the radar sensors control unit (N62/1).

The Electronic Stability Program control unit has the following tasks:

Chassis CAN 1 

The Electronic Stability Program control unit is a subscriber of chassis CAN 1 and communicates with the following control units:

Vehicle dynamics CAN 

The signals of the following components are read-in via the vehicle dynamics CAN:

Evaluation of input factors 

Reading in of signals 

The input factors are read in via the following connections:

Direct line 

The signals from the following components are read via direct lines:

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor whereupon the required components are then actuated.
