Location 

The weight sensing system (WSS) control unit is installed under the seat cushion at the seat cushion frame of the front passenger seat.

Task 

The weight sensing system (WSS) control unit determines the weight on the front passenger seat via a pressure measurement in a silicone-filled seat mat.

The signals of the weight sensing system (WSS) control unit are transmitted via the seat occupancy LIN (LIN E2) to the supplemental restraint system control unit (N2/10).
