Component Description For Boost Pressure Sensor - GF07.04-D-6053HD
ENGINES 651.955/956/957 in MODEL 906
with CODE (XZ1) Model generation 1
with CODE (MZ0) Blue EFFICIENCY
Location
Illustrated on model 906
The boost pressure sensor is located on the left on the engine downstream of the throttle valve actuator.
Task
The boost pressure sensor detects the charge air pressure (absolute pressure) downstream of the throttle valve actuator and transmits the change in resistance to the CDI control unit (N3/28).
Input and output signals
Direct output signals
- Change in resistance for determination of the charge air pressure at the CDI control unit
Function
The charge air pressure distorts a measurement membrane with stretch resistors. The change in resistance results in a voltage which is used by the CDI control unit for charge pressure determination.
