Component Description For Pressure Regulating Valve - GF07.05-D-6020HD
ENGINES 651.955/956/957 in MODEL 906
with CODE (XZ1) Model generation 1
with CODE (MZ0) Blue EFFICIENCY
Location
Illustrated on model 906
The pressure regulating valve is screwed into the rail on the flywheel side.
Task
The rail pressure is regulated by the pressure regulator valve according to the operating condition.
Regulation of the rail pressure takes place by working with the quantity control valve (Y94/3), rail pressure sensor (B4/16) and CDI control unit (N3/28)
Input and output signals
Direct input signals
- Actuation by means of a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal produced by the CDI control unit
Function
The pressure regulating valve is hydraulically opened in a de-energized condition so that pressure compensation can take place between the high pressure and the low-pressure side.
The CDI control unit regulates the coil current by means of a pulse width modulation signal which results in a magnetic force which presses the valve pins onto the ball and therefore generates a force equilibrium between the high-pressure side and the low-pressure side.
The diverted fuel flows back over the fuel return connection on the rail into the fuel tank.
