Remove/Install Coolant Temperature Sensor - AR15.60-P-2712MND

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray.
Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.
Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove engine compartment paneling INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Only install lower engine compartment paneling after leak test. AR61.20-P-1105LWE
2 Drain off coolant of engine cooling system   AR20.00-P-1142OLC
3 Disconnect battery ground line Engine 276.8 in model 213 AR54.10-P-0003LW
    Engine 276.8 in model 238 AR54.10-P-0003LWO
4 Remove engine management control unit INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Only install upper engine over after the leak test. AR07.08-P-7013MND
5 Remove left-hand air filter housing   AR09.10-P-1151MND
6 Remove soundproofing of left rail    
7 Remove coolant hose (10) at firewall   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
8 Open connector (8) and lift out coolant hose (10) upwards   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
9 Remove exhaust gas recirculation line Engine 276.853 in model 213 AR14.20-P-0001MND
10 Remove screw/bolt of heat shield of the heater feed line (12) on exhaust gas recirculation valve connecting housing and unclip heat shield Engine 276.853 in model 213
TORQUE SPECIFICATION M6X1
*BA00.10-P-1002-04A 
11 Remove vacuum pump   AR43.05-P-1320MND
12 Remove screws/bolts (11) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, heater feed to cylinder head *BA20.10-P-1006-01AA 
13 Remove coolant line (12) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Install new sealing rings.  
14 Release and disconnect electrical connection (13)    
15 Unlock and remove clamp of coolant temperature sensor (14)    
16 Remove coolant temperature sensor (14) downwards INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace sealing ring.  
17 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Check     
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear buttoned-up and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
18 Carry out engine test run and check the engine cooling system for proper function and leaktightness    
19 Install lower engine compartment paneling   AR61.20-P-1105LWE
20 Install upper engine cover    
METRIC SCREWS/BOLTS AND NUTS AS PER MBN 10 105, 10 143
