Accelerator Pedal Module Control Unit, Component Description - GF07.08-P-2000MMK
Engine 276.8 in model 222.163/173
View of accelerator pedal module
Location
The accelerator pedal module control unit is integrated together with the accelerator pedal module sensor and the accelerator pedal module actuator motor in the accelerator pedal module.
Task
The accelerator pedal module control unit has the task to give the driver haptic feedback about the accelerator pedal. The driver is signaled dependent on the driving mode about which pedal angle should be selected in order to allow the functions "metering electrical drive" and "foresighted electrical sliding".
Function
According to the function the accelerator pedal module actuator motor is actuated by the accelerator pedal module control unit. In doing so it generates a small counter-force to the force of the driver on the accelerator pedal connected over a linkage with the accelerator pedal. This counter-force is tangible dependent on the driving situation as a over-center preload or as a double impulse.
The position of the accelerator pedal module actuator motor is monitored by the accelerator pedal module sensor and transmitted to the accelerator pedal module control unit.
The accelerator pedal module comprises 2 modules (accelerator pedal module control unit and accelerator pedal sensor).
