	Remove/install
1	Perform commissioning of trunk lid control unit (N121)	When replacing trunk lid control unit (N121).

2.1	Remove side paneling in left side of trunk	Model 222 up to model year 2018 with code 881 (Remote boot-lid closing) except code 811 (High-End sound system)

2.2	Release subwoofer (H4/38) and tilt until trunk lid control unit (N121) can be accessed	Model 222 up to model year 2018 with code 811 (High-End sound system) with code 881 (Remote boot-lid closing)

3	Release and disconnect electrical connection (3)
4	Release and disconnect electrical connection (4)
5	Unclip catch hook (5)
6	Remove trunk lid control unit (N121)
7	Install in the reverse order
8	Normalize remote tailgate closing	Where removed trunk lid control unit (N121) is reused. Close tailgate by hand. Open tailgate by pressing switch in door trim and wait until tailgate has reached upper stop. Then actuate tailgate switch in door trim for 4 s in "open" position.
9	Check remote tailgate closing for proper operation	Open and close tailgate via different actuation options. See owner's manual.
