| 1 | Connect vehicle diagnosis system and perform commissioning of electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) | When replacing the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73). | |

| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m) | ||
| 3 | Remove trim piece (1) from instrument panel | AR68.10-P-1180LF | |
| 4 | Release and disconnect electrical connection (2) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) | ||
| 5 | Release electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) and press out in the direction of engine compartment | ||
| 6 | Laterally rotate electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) by 90° and take out | ||
| 7 | Install in the reverse order |
