The attachment procedure must take place at an ambient temperature between 15 and 30 °C. It must be ensured that all affected component parts comply with these temperatures.
Otherwise adhesion problems can occur at the adhesively bonded connections.
Do not use any additional workshop equipment such as adhesives adhesive films or similar.
Otherwise malfunctions can occur and people can be put at risk.
There must be no tension on the electric wiring harness (1).
Otherwise damage occurs to the rear section of the heat mat (2).
The bonding surfaces of the rear section the heat mat (2) must not come into contact with foreign substances before or during the attachment procedure.
Otherwise damage occurs to the rear section of the heat mat (2).
- Slide electrical wiring harness (1) through seat cushion padding (3).
To do so, use opening (4) in seat cushion padding (3).
- Detach films (5) on rear section of heat mat (2) and fold down (areas A and B).
The complete adhesive strength is only produced by pressing the bonding surfaces.

- Detach foil (6) from rear section of heat mat (2).
- Position rear section of heat mat (2) on seat cushion padding (3).
The correct positioning of the rear section of the heat mat (2) at the edges (areas C) must be ensured. Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.
To do so, align outer edges of bonding surfaces (areas A and B) to edges (areas C and D).
- Attach rear section of heat mat (2) to seat cushion padding (3).
Press on rear section of heat mat (2) without any creases.
Otherwise damage occurs to the rear section of the heat mat (2).
The correct positioning of the rear section of the heat mat (2) at the edges (areas C and D) must be ensured.
Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.
The bonding surfaces of the front section of the heat mat (2) must not come into contact with foreign substances before or during the attachment procedure.
Otherwise damage occurs to the front section of the heat mat (2).
- Detach films (7) on front section of heat mat (2) and fold down (areas E and F).

For this, detach films (5) in stages from rear section of heat mat (2) and press rear section of heat mat (2) on seat cushion padding (3) (areas C and D).
- Position front section of heat mat (2) on seat cushion padding (3).
The correct positioning of the front section of the heat mat (2) at the edges (areas G) must be ensured. Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.
To do so, align outer edges of bonding surfaces (areas E and F) to edges (areas G).
- Attach front section of heat mat (2) to seat cushion padding (3).
Press on front section of heat mat (2) without any creases.
Otherwise damage occurs to the front section of the heat mat (2).
The correct positioning of the front section of the heat mat (2) at the edges (areas G and H) must be ensured.
Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.
For this, detach films (7, 8) in stages from front section of heat mat (2) and press front section of heat mat (2) on seat cushion padding (3) (areas G and H).
- Press fabric tabs (9) into cutout (10).
The retaining clips (11) must be exposed.
Otherwise correct mounting of the seat cushion cover is not guaranteed.
To do so, use
long wedge.
