Glue Heat Mat On Front Passenger Seat Cushion Padding - Ar91.30-D-0024-01TS

NOTES The attachment procedure must take place at an ambient temperature between 15 and 30 °C. It must be ensured that all affected component parts comply with these temperatures. Otherwise adhesion problems can occur at the adhesively bonded connections.

NOTES Do not use any additional workshop equipment such as adhesives, adhesive films or similar.

Otherwise malfunctions can occur and people can be put at risk.

IMPORTANT The complete adhesive strength is only produced by pressing the bonding surfaces.

NOTES The bonding surfaces of the front section of the heat mat (1) must not come into contact with foreign substances before or during the attachment procedure.

Otherwise damage occurs to the front section of the heat mat (1).

  1. Detach films (2) on front section of heat mat (1) and fold down (areas A and B).
  2. Detach foil (3) on front section of heat mat (1).
  3. Position front section of heat mat (1) on seat cushion padding (4).

    IMPORTANT To do so, align outer edges of bonding surfaces (areas A and B) to edges (areas C).

  4. Attach front section of heat mat (1) to seat cushion padding (4).

    NOTES Press on front section of heat mat (1) without any creases.

    Otherwise damage occurs to the front section of the heat mat (1).

    NOTES The correct positioning of the front section of the heat mat (1) at the edges (areas C) must be ensured. Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.

    NOTES The correct positioning of the front section of the heat mat (1) at the edges (areas C and D) must be ensured.

    Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.

    IMPORTANT For this, detach films (2) in stages from front section of heat mat (1) and press front section of heat mat (1) on seat cushion padding (4) (areas C and D).

    NOTES The bonding surfaces of the center sectio of the heat mat (1) must not come into contac with foreign substances before or during the attachment procedure.

    Otherwise damage occurs to the center section of the heat mat (1).

  5. Press fabric tabs (5) into cutout

    NOTES The retaining clips for the seat cushion cover must be exposed.

    Otherwise correct mounting of the seat cushion cover is not guaranteed.

    IMPORTANT To do so, useSPECIAL TOOL long wedge.

  6. Detach films (7) on center section of heat mat (1) and fold down (areas E and F).

  7. Position center section of heat mat (1) on seat cushion padding (4).

    NOTES The correct positioning of the center section of the heat mat (1) at the edges (areas G) must be ensured. Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.

    IMPORTANT To do so, align outer edges of bonding surfaces (areas E and F) to edges (areas G).

  8. Attach center section of heat mat (1) to seat cushion padding (4).

    NOTES Press on center section of heat mat (1) without any creases.

    Otherwise damage occurs to the center section of the heat mat (1).

    NOTES The correct positioning of the center section of the heat mat (1) at the edges (areas G) must be ensured. Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.

    IMPORTANT For this, detach films (7) in stages from center section of heat mat (1) and press center section of heat mat (1) on seat cushion padding (4) (areas G).

    NOTES There must be no tension on the electrical wiring harness (8).

    Otherwise damage occurs to the rear section of the heat mat (1).

    NOTES The bonding surfaces of the rear section of the heat mat (1) must not come into contact with foreign substances before or during the attachment procedure. Otherwise damage occurs to the rear section of the heat mat (1).

  9. Detach foil (9) on rear section of heat mat (1).
  10. Detach films (10) on rear section of heat mat (1) and fold down (areas H and I).

  11. Position rear section of heat mat (1) on seat cushion padding (4).

    NOTES The correct positioning of the rear section of the heat mat (1) at the edges (areas J) must be ensured. Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.

    IMPORTANT To do so, align outer edges of the bonding surfaces (areas H and I) to edges (area J).

  12. Route electrical wiring harness (8) on seat cushion padding (4).

    IMPORTANT To do so, press electrical wiring harness (8) into cutout (11).

  13. Attach rear section of heat mat (1) to seat cushion padding (4).

    NOTES Press on rear section of heat mat (1) without any creases.

    Otherwise damage occurs to the rear section of the heat mat (1).

    NOTES The correct positioning of the rear section of the heat mat (1) at the edges (areas K) must be ensured. Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.

    IMPORTANT For this, detach films (10) in stages from rear section of heat mat (1) and press rear section of heat mat (1) on seat cushion padding (4) (areas J and K).

  14. Press fabric tabs (12) into cutout (13).

    NOTES The retaining clips for the seat cushion cover must be exposed.

    Otherwise correct mounting of the seat cushion cover is not guaranteed.

    IMPORTANT To do so, use SPECIAL TOOL long wedge.
