Perform Additional Operation When Replacing Passenger Bench Seat With Seat Backrest Adjustment - Ar91.21-D-0018-02TSK

Removal 

IMPORTANT Perform next steps on old passenger bench seat.

  1. Remove covers (1).

    IMPORTANT To do so, use SPECIAL TOOL long wedge.

  2. Remove screw/bolts (2).
  3. Remove armrests (3).

    IMPORTANT Perform next steps on new passenger bench seat.

  4. Set seat backrests of passenger bench seat to upright position.

    IMPORTANT To do so, operate the respective lever (4).

  5. Remove grooved pin (5) using a suitable tool.

    NOTES Observe position of grooved pin (5) relative to trim (6), seat backrest padding (7) or seat backrest cover (8).

    Otherwise, damage to the trim (6), seat backrest padding (7) or seat backrest cover (8) may occur.

    IMPORTANT To do so, hold lever (4) in uppermost position after operating.

  6. Remove expansion rivet (9).
  7. Remove release lever trim (10).

    IMPORTANT To do so, detach release lever trim (10) from lever (4).

  8. Loosen trim (11) with SPECIAL TOOL clip remover (arrow A).

    NOTES Observe distance between lever (4) and cutout (12).

    Otherwise, the trim (11) may be damaged.

  9. Remove trim (11).

    NOTES Observe distance between lever (4) and cutout (12).

    Otherwise, the trim (11) may be damaged.

    IMPORTANT To do so, move trim (11) at seat frame from catches (14) in alphabetical sequence (arrows B, C, D, E).

  10. Loosen trim (15) with SPECIAL TOOL clip remover (arrow F).
  11. Remove trim (15).

    IMPORTANT To do so, move trim (15) at seat frame from catches (16) in alphabetical sequence (arrows G, H, I).

    1. Model 907.6/7 with 3-passenger bench seat, comfort Partially detach trim (17).

      IMPORTANT To do so, release catch hooks (18) at seat frame (arrow J).

    2. Model 907.6/7 with 3-passenger bench seat, comfort Partially detach trims (17).

      IMPORTANT To do so, release catch hooks (18) at seat frame (arrow J).

  13. Model 907.6/7
    1. Model 907.6/7 with 3-passenger bench seat, comfort Remove trim (17).

      IMPORTANT To do so, slide trim (17) out of catch (19) (arrow K) and remove from catch hook (20) toward rear.

    2. Model 907.6/7 with 3-passenger bench seat, comfort Remove trims (17).

      IMPORTANT To do so, slide trims (17) out of catches (19) (arrow K) and remove from catch hooks (20) toward rear.

  14. Remove trims (21).

    IMPORTANT To do so, remove screws (22) and remove trims (21) upward from seat frame.

  15. Remove seat backrest shells (23).

    IMPORTANT To do so, remove screws (24) and remove seat backrest shells (23) downward from seat backrest frame.

  16. Loosen seat backrest cover (8) in working areas (arrows L).
  17. Remove covers (25).

    IMPORTANT To do so, detach seat backrest padding (7) from seat backrest frame in working areas and remove covers (25) using SPECIAL TOOL long wedge.

    IMPORTANT Dispose of covers (25) properly.

    Installation 

  18. Fasten seat backrest cover (8) in working areas.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that the seat backrest cover (8) and the seat backrest padding (7) are correctly seated.

  19. Mark seat backrest cover (8).

    IMPORTANT To do so, feel for edges of armrest mountings (26) and apply circular markings with a 0 of approx. 15 mm.

  20. Cut into seat backrest cover (8).

    IMPORTANT For this, apply circular cutouts (27) along previously-made circular markings using a suitable tool.

  21. Install trims (21).

    IMPORTANT To do so, mount trim (21) upward at seat frame and screw in screws (22).

  22. Install seat backrest shells (23).

    IMPORTANT To do so, screw in screws (24).

  23. Model 907.6/7
    1. Model 907.6/7 with 2-passenger bench seat, comfort Install trim (17).

      IMPORTANT Make sure that the trim (17) is seated correctly.

    2. Model 907.6/7 with 3-passenger bench seat, comfort Install trims (17).

      IMPORTANT Make sure that the trims (17) are seated correctly.

  24. Install trim (15).

    IMPORTANT Make sure that the trim (15) is seated correctly.

    Check retaining clips (13) for damage.

    If a retaining clip (13) is damaged.

    Replace damaged retaining clip (13).

  25. Install trim (11).

    NOTES Observe distance between lever (4) and cutout (12). Otherwise, the trim (11) may be damaged.

    IMPORTANT Make sure that the trim (11) is seated correctly.

    Check retaining clips (13) for damage.

    If a retaining clip (13) is damaged.

    Replace damaged retaining clip (13).

  26. Attach release lever trim (10) to lever (4).
  27. Install expansion rivet (9).

    IMPORTANT Check expansion rivet (9).

    If expansion rivet (9) is damaged.

    Replace damaged expansion rivet (9).

  28. Install grooved pin (5).
  29. Install armrests (3).

    IMPORTANT It is only possible to install the armrests (3) on the seat backrest frame in one position.

  30. Screw in screw/bolts (2) TORQUE SPECIFICATION
  31. Install covers (1).
