The attachment procedure must take place at an ambient temperature between 15 and 30 °C. It must be ensured that all affected component parts comply with these temperatures. Otherwise adhesion problems can occur at the adhesively bonded connections.
Do not use any additional workshop equipment such as adhesives, adhesive films or similar.
Otherwise malfunctions can occur and people can be put at risk.
The bonding surfaces of the heat mat (1) must not come into contact with foreign substances before or during the attachment procedure.
Otherwise, damage occurs to the heat mat (1).
There must be no tensile load on the electrical wiring harness (2). Otherwise, damage occurs to the heat mat (1).
- Detach film (3) from heat mat (1) and fold down (area A).
- Position heat mat (1) on seat cushion padding (4) of thigh.
It must be ensured that the heat mat (1) is positioned correctly at the edges (areas B and C). Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.
To do so, align outer edges of bonding surfaces (area A) to edges (areas B and C).
The complete adhesive strength is only produced by pressing the bonding surfaces.
- Attach heat mat (1) to seat cushion padding (4) of thigh.
Press on heat mat (1) without any creases. Otherwise, damage occurs to the heat mat (1).
For this, detach film (3) from heat mat (1) in stages and press heat mat (1) on seat cushion padding (4) of thigh (areas B, C, D and E).
It must be ensured that the heat mat (1) is positioned correctly at the edges (areas D and E). Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.
The bonding surfaces of the front section of the heat mat (5) must not come into contact with foreign substances before or during the attachment procedure.
Otherwise damage occurs to the front section of the heat mat (5).
- Lay insert (6) on seat cushion padding (7).
- Detach film (8) on front section of heat mat (5).
- Position front section of heat mat (5) on seat cushion padding (7).
It must be ensured that the front section of the heat mat (5) is positioned correctly at the edges (area F). Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.
To do so, align outer edges of bonding surface to edges (area F).
- Attach front section of heat mat (5) to seat cushion padding (7).
Attach front section of heat mat (5) without any creases.
Otherwise damage occurs to the front section of the heat mat (5).
It must be ensured that the front section of the heat mat (5) is positioned correctly at the edges (area F). Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.
To do so, press bonding surface of front section of heat mat (5) on seat cushion padding (7) (area F).
There must be no tensile load on the electrical wiring harness (9).
Otherwise damage occurs to the rear section of the heat mat (5).
The bonding surfaces of the rear section of the heat mat (5) must not come into contact with foreign substances before or during the attachment procedure.
Otherwise damage occurs to the rear section of the heat mat (5).
- Detach film (10) on rear section of heat mat (5).
- Detach films (11) on rear section of heat mat (5) and fold down (areas G and H).
- Position rear section of heat mat (5) on seat cushion padding (7).
It must be ensured that the rear section of the hea mat (5) is positioned correctly at the edges (area I). Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.
To do so, align outer edges of the bonding surfaci (areas G and H) to edges (area I).
- Route electrical wiring harness (9) on seat cushion padding (7).
To do so, press electrical wiring harness (9) into cutout (12).
- Attach rear section of heat mat (5) to seat cushion padding (7).
Press on rear section of heat mat (5) without any creases.
Otherwise damage occurs to the rear section of the heat mat (5).
It must be ensured that the rear section of the heat mat (5) is positioned correctly at the edges (areas J). Otherwise, this negatively affects durability and reliability.
For this, detach films (11) in stages from rear section of heat mat (5) and press rear section of heat mat (5) on seat cushion padding (7) (areas I and J).
- Press fabric tabs (13) into cutout (14).
The retaining clips (15) for the seat cushion cover must be exposed.
Otherwise correct mounting of the seat cushion cover is not guaranteed.
To do so, use
long wedge.
