1 Connect vehicle diagnosis system, start XENTRY and select vehicle model.

NOTES
Ensure that there is sufficient power supply to the vehicle's on-board electrical system during the entire work procedure.
Otherwise any undervoltage may damage the control units.		 AD00.00-P-2000-06MFA
2 Select control unit.    
3 Select menu item "control unit adaptations".    
4 Select "Support from User Help Desk" menu item.    
5 Select "Control unit software query" menu item.    
6 Save query data on an external data medium.    
7 Submit query data to User Help Desk. IMPORTANT The control unit software is determined by the User Help Desk. This then creates and sends a response file (Flash Support File).  
8 Unpack response file (Flash Support File) and burn the data onto a CD or save onto a USB removable storage device.    
9 Mark the CD or USB removable storage device accordingly.    
10 Insert CD or connect USB removable storage device. IMPORTANT To change control units to write mode, an unlocking code (key) is required for the respective control unit. When using regular procedures this is automatically queried by the central systems. In the offline fallback process, the user is prompted by XENTRY to ask for the activation code by phone from the Star Diagnosis User Help Desk. A detailed description of the process is available in Star Diagnosis INFO.  
11 Import data.    
12 Rectify errors using current XD DVD. For a communication error between XENTRY and control unit.
If the reason for the error cannot be rectified,
↓
notify the Star Diagnosis User Help Desk.		  
13 Document in Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc).    
14 Carry out SCN coding of control units. With corresponding specification through XENTRY. AR54.21-P-0015X 
15 Perform teach-in processes. With corresponding specification through XENTRY.  
16 Read out and delete fault memory.    
17 Disconnect diagnostic system.
