Overview 

This document contains the following information:

Location 

The Drive Unit control unit is fastened to the right rear-end center

section below the load compartment floor.

Task 

The Drive Unit control unit coordinates the drive programs. Depending on the vehicle and equipment installed, the following drive programs are available:

IMPORTANT The drive programs as well as the representation of the all-wheel visualization are shown in the head unit/instrument cluster display cluster.

On vehicles with active engine mount or electronic locking differential, the Drive Unit control unit also reads in the signals from various sensors over the CAN network and uses them to calculate the specified status of the active engine mounts and the locking ratio of the electronic differential lock.

IMPORTANT The Drive Unit control unit is codable and programmable, i.e., the complete software in the control unit can be updated.
