| 2 | Loosen counternut (2) on inner tie rod (1). | The tie rod (4) must always be counterheld. Otherwise the tie rod (4) will be damaged. |

| 3 | Pry tie rod (4) off steering knuckle (6). | Always counterhold the ball head when removing the nut (3) and do not use an impact wrench/driver. Otherwise, the ball head or steering knuckle (6) will be damaged. Do not damage boot (5) when prying off. Otherwise the tie rod (4) will have to be replaced. |
