	Remove/install
1	Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.		AR54.10-P-0003MFA
2	Remove engine air intake duct (1).
3	Unscrew screws (14) and remove holders (2).
4	Disconnect electrical connector (16) at left frontal acceleration sensor (B48/1) and at right frontal acceleration sensor (B48/2).
5	Remove bracket (17) from front module.
6	Tighten screws (3).
7	Unclip center hood contact switch, detach hood cable and place to one side.		AR88.40-P-3201MFA
8	Remove front wheel and tire assembly.		AR40.10-P-1102MFA
9	Remove bottom engine compartment paneling.	Model 118, 177, 247.0 with engine 260 with code M016 (Uprated engine)	AR61.20-P-1105MFR

10	Remove left and right front section of the fender liner.		AR88.10-P-1301MFA
11	Remove washer fluid reservoir from the brackets and fasten with connected lines free of tension to the vehicle.		AR82.35-P-6000MFA
12	Release and disconnect electrical connectors (4, 5, 6).
13	Unscrew bolts (13).	Model 118, 177, 247.0 with engine 260, 282, 608, 654 with code 228 (Additional warm water heating) Screws, heater bracket to body	*BA83.70-P-1003-02F
14	Remove screws (15).
15	Remove stationary heater unit (A6) with bracket from vehicle, place to one side with connected lines and secure against falling down with suitable means.	Model 118, 177, 247.0 with engine 260, 282, 608, 654 with code 228 (Additional warm water heating)
16	Release, disconnect electrical connectors (7) and unclip from front bumper.	The number of electrical connectors (7) varies depending on the vehicle equipment. Dismantling tool	Fig 1
17	Unclip electric line (8) at front bumper.	Dismantling tool	Fig 1
18	Release and disconnect the electrical connectors (10).
19	Remove bolts (12) at front bumper.
20	Unscrew screws (9).	Bolt, impact absorber/mounting support to longitudinal member	*BA62.30-P-1002-02O
21	Remove screws (11).	Bolt, assembly carrier at bottom to mounting support	*BA62.30-P-1008-02O
22	Remove front module from the vehicle and place on a suitable base.	Remove front module with front bumper and headlamp units. Aid of helper required.
23	Install in the reverse order.
24	Check headlamp adjustment and correct if necessary.
