The control unit for the trunk lid/liftgate control is connected to the network architecture of the vehicle.
To control the movement of the trunk lid or tailgate, the trunk lid/tailgate control unit processes the following information:
- Opening/closing requests of trunk lid or tailgate
- Terminal status of terminal 15
- Vehicle speed
- Opening angle limiter status
During the movement of the trunk lid or the liftgate, the control unit for the trunk lid/liftgate control actuates the electric motor of the trunk lid/liftgate control. The trunk lid/liftgate control warning buzzer is also actuated in vehicles with FASY-PACK liftgate or with remote trunk closing and HANDS-FRFF ACCESS. The control unit for the trunk lid/liftgate control derives movement or position of the trunk lid or liftgate from the signals of the trunk lid/liftgate control Hall sensor.
