1 Remove rear seat cushion. Engine 256.9, 264 in model 213
with code 248 (Rear seat with integrated child seat)

2.1 Fold insulation mat under rear seat cushion to the side. Engine 256.9 in model 213, 257, 290 Engine 264 in model 213, 257  
2.2 Remove top trim from the side in the right rear passenger compartment. Engine 256.9, 264 in model 238 AR68.30-P-4783LWO
3.1 Unclip fuel system control unit (N118) from bracket (2) (arrow). Engine 256.9 in model 213, 257, 290 Engine 264 in model 213, 257  
3.2 Carefully press bracket (6) apart and unclip fuel system control unit (N118) from bracket (2). Engine 256.9, 264 in model 238  
4.1 Release and disconnect electrical connectors (3, 4) on fuel system control unit (N118). Engine 256.9 in model 213, 257, 290 Engine 264 in model 213, 257  
4.2 Release and disconnect electrical connector (5) at fuel system control unit (N118). Engine 256.9, 264 in model 238  
5 Install in the reverse order.    
6 Read out and delete fault memory.

7 Connect vehicle diagnosis system and perform commissioning of fuel system control unit (N118). When replacing the FSCU (N118).

Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. 8 Perform an engine test run and check the engine for proper function.
