CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

2 Release and disconnect electrical connector (2)    
3 Remove screw/bolts (3). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, control unit to transfer case *BA28.10-P-1010-01G 
4 Remove all-wheel drive control unit (N45) downwards. NOTES :
The lugs of the all-wheel drive control unit (N45) must latch into the grooves in the transfer case (4). Damage will otherwise occur.
IMPORTANT Installation: Replace seals.
 
5 Install in the reverse order

REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS
Commission all-wheel drive control unit (N45). When replacing the all-wheel drive control unit (N45). AD00.00-P-2000-04B
WARNING

Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.
Perform engine test run; while doing so, check transfer case (4) for proper operation and leak tightness.
Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
