	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off on its own when jacked up. Risk of injury caused by rotating parts when working on running engine or drive train.	Ensure that jack stands are standing firmly. An authorized person must occupy the driver's seat. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0008-01A

	Remove/install
1	Shift automatic transmission (2) to neutral position.
2	Release parking brake.
3	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift.		AR00.60-P-1006A

		Only install center and rear lower rear engine compartment paneling again after leak test.

7	Remove vibration damper (3).	Bolt, vibration damper to transfer case	*BA28.10-P-1008-01G
8	Lower automatic transmission (1) until all screws (4) around circumference of transfer case (1) are accessible.
9	Support transfer case (1).

10	Remove screws (4).	Replace screws (4).
		Bolt, transfer case to automatic transmission	*BA28.10-P-1001-01G
11	Remove transfer case (1).	The marking on the power output flange gearing must line up exactly with the marking on the front axle differential propeller shaft (5). Before mounting the transfer case (1), grease the gearing of the automatic transmission's output shaft (2) and the gearing of the power output flange. A second person is required to help with disconnection and connection at the flange of the front axle differential propeller shaft (5).

12	Check seal (6) for damage.	If damage is found, ↓ Replace seal (6).
13	Install in the reverse order.

15	Perform engine test run and check transfercase (1) for proper operation and leak tightness.
