| 1 | Perform commissioning of ME-SFI control unit (N3/10). | When replacing the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10). | |

| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 3 | Release and disconnect vehicle wiring harness (1) from the ME-SFI control unit (N3/10). | ||
| 4 | Release and disconnect engine wiring harness (2) from the ME-SFI control unit (N3/10). | ||
| 5 | Open retaining clips and remove ME-SFI control unit (N3/10) upward. | ||
| Check | |||
| 6 | Check bracket of the ME-SFI control unit (N3/10) for damage. | If there is a problem, ↓ replace bracket of the ME-SFI control unit (N3/10). |

| 7 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| 8 | Read out and delete fault memory. | ||
