| 1 | Start control unit replacement with vehicle diagnosis system. | When replacing the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10). | |

| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter keys outside of transmitter range (at least 2 m). | ||

| 6 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors (1). | ||

| 8 | Check seal in air filter housing for correct seating and damage and replace if necessary. | ||
| 9 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

| 10 | Read out and delete fault memory. | ||
