| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Remove upper engine cover. | AR01.10-P-2405MSC | |
| 3 | Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter. | Fig 1 | |
| 4 | Unclip automatic transmission oil cooler from fan unit (1). | Engine 256.9 in model 167 with transmission 725.0 | AR27.55-P-1000MSC |
| 5 | Unclip coolant line (3) from fan unit (1). | ||
| 6 | Unclip bracket (2) from fan unit (1). | ||
| 7 | Release and disconnect electrical connector from fan unit (1). | ||
| 8 | Unclip fan unit (1) from cooler mounts and remove upward. | ||
| 9 | Install in the reverse order. |
