	Remove/install
1	Buffer basic data of SAM control unit (1) in diagnostic system.	When replacing the SAM control unit (1).
		Transfer buffered basic data to new SAM control unit (1). Then remove diagnostic system.	AD00.00-S-2000-04E
2	Remove ground line of on-board electrical system battery.		AR54.10-S-0003E
3	Remove trim in front passenger side footwell.		AR68.30-S-4030E
4	Remove cover under front passenger side instrument panel.	Model 447.6/7 with code LC7 (Front footwell illumination), model 447.8, 448	AR68.10-S-1520E
5	Remove glove compartment.	Model 447, 448 with code F66 (Glove compartment, lockable)	AR68.10-S-1400E
6	Release catch tabs (7) and remove potential distributor (5) with holder (6).	Model 447.8, 448.8 with code XM7 (MOPF II) Ensure the potential distributor (5) is seated correctly.
7	Open U-shaped strikers and release and disconnect electrical connectors (3, 4).
8	Release catch tabs (2) and remove SAM control unit (1).	Ensure SAM control unit (1) is correctly seated.
9	Open U-shaped strikers, disconnect electrical connector (8), and remove SAM control unit (1).
10	Install in the reverse order.
