General

A basic function of the MB Advanced Control, control unit (N175) is the status query.

The MBAC can read out the status of the following equipment, which controls the climate in the vehicle interior and the hot water:

Air conditioning system states

The MBAC enables the user to read out the current target temperature of each air conditioning system between 2 threshold values with a resolution of 0.1°C. To do so, an air conditioning system must be connected over the CI bus to the MBAC and be controllable.

The MBAC enables the user to read out the current mode of each air conditioning system (OFF, Fan, Cool, Heat or Automatic). To do so, an air conditioning system must be connected to the MBAC and be controllable.

The MBAC enables the user to read out the current mode of the air conditioning system ventilation (Low, Mid, High or Night). To do so, an air conditioning system must be connected to the MBAC and be controllable.

Heating system states

The MBAC has two interfaces to read out the status of heating systems:

LIN interface

The MBAC can read out the current target temperature of each heating system between 2 threshold values with a resolution of 0.1°C. To do so, a heating system must be connected over the LIN interface to the MBAC and be controllable.

The MBAC can read out the state of natural gas operation of each heating system (Natural gas operation ON or natural gas operation OFF). To do so, a heating system must be connected over the LIN interface to the MBAC and be controllable.

The MBAC enables the user to read out the state of the natural gas operation of each heating system (Natural gas operation ON, natural gas operation OFF). To do so, a heating system must be connected over the LIN interface to the MBAC and be controllable.

The MBAC can read out the current output stage of each heating system (0 kW, 1 kW, 2 kW or 3 kW). To do so, a heating system must be connected over the LIN interface to the MBAC and be controllable.

The MBAC enables the user to read out the current output level of each heating system (0 kW, 1 kW, 2 kW or 3 kW). To do so, a heating system must be connected over the LIN interface to the MBAC and be controllable.

I/O interface

The MBAC can read out the current vehicle interior temperature between -20°C and 70°C with a resolution of 0.5°C. To do so, an interior temperature sensor must be connected to the "AI_Heating_Interior_TempSensor" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC can read out the current wet area temperature between -20°C and 70°C with a resolution of 0.5°C. To do so, a wet area temperature sensor must be connected to the "AI_Heating_Wet Area_TempSensor" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC can read out the current floor temperature between -20°C and 70°C with a resolution of 0.5°C. To do so, a floor temperature sensor must be connected to the "AI_Heating_Floor_TempSensor" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC can read out the current inlet temperature between -20°C and 70°C with a resolution of 0.5°C. To do so, an inlet temperature sensor must be connected to the "AI_Heating_Inlet_TempSensor" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC can read out the current outside temperature between -20°C and 70°C with a resolution of 0.5°C. To do so, an outside temperature sensor must be connected to the "AI_Heizung_Aussen1_TempSensor" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC can read out the current outside temperature between -20°C and 70°C with a resolution of 0.5°C. To do so, an outside temperature sensor must be connected to the "AI_Heizung_Aussen2_TempSensor" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC can read out the current specified value temperature of each heating system between 2 threshold values with a specific resolution in °C. To do so, the heating system must be connected to the "AO_Heating_Specified_Temperature_Value" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC enables the user to read out the status of the heating system (switching on or off). To do so, the heating system must be connected to the "DO_Heating_Switch" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC enables the user to read out the current fan stage in a heating system. To do so, a fan must be connected to the "DO_PWM_Heizung_Luefter1_stage" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC enables the user to read out the current fan stage in a heating system. To do so, a fan must be connected to the "DO_PWM_Heizung_Luefter2_stage" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC enables the user to read out the current fan stage in a heating system. To do so, a fan must be connected to the "DO_PWM_Heizung_Luefter3_stage" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC enables the user to read out the current status of the heating unit in a heating system (active or inactive). To do so, the heating unit must be connected to the "DO_Power_Active" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC enables the user to read out the current specified temperature value between 2 threshold values with a specific resolution in °C. To do so, the heating system must be connected to the "AO_Heating_Specified_Temperature_Value" interface and be controllable.

Roof ventilator status

The MBAC can read out the current status of the roof ventilator (switched on or off). To do so, the roof ventilator must be connected to the "DO_Roof_Ventilator_Switch" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC can read out the current roof ventilator mode. To do so, a roof ventilator must be connected to the "DO_PWM_Roof_Ventilator_Switch" interface and be controllable.

Hot water heater states

The MBAC enables the user to read out the current status of the hot water heater (switched on or off). To do so, the heating system must be connected to the "DO_Hot_Water_Switch" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC enables the user to read out the current temperature of the hot water heater in a range between 2 threshold values with a specific resolution in °C. To do so, the temperature sensor of the hot-water heater must be connected to the "AI_Hot-water_TempSensor" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC can read out the current temperature of the hot water heater in a range between 2 threshold values with a specific resolution in °C. To do so, the temperature sensor of the hot-water heater must be connected to the "AI_Hotwater_TempSensor" interface and be controllable.

The MBAC can read out the status of the hot water heater (70°C reached or 70°C not reached). To do so, the detection sensor for 70°C water temperature of the hot water heater must be connected to the "DI_Warmwasser_70C_reached" interface and be controllable.
