General
The control unit for telematics services controls the various telematics services and establishes a mobile radio link with the Service Center over the emergency call system antenna(s).
The control unit for telematics services is connected to the network architecture of the vehicle. The control unit for telematics services is linked with the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) control unit.
The control unit for telematics services is located in the instrument panel (on the driver's side or in the center) or under the front passenger seat.

- Provision of the telematics services
- Provision of the emergency call function
- Provision of an Internet connection
- Provision of GPS signal for multimedia system control (depending on equipment)
