Remove/Install Fuel Injection System Control Unit - AR07.08-S-7008EG

Model 447, 448 with engine 274

NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
IMPORTANT Notes on programming control units   AH54.21-P-0001-03Z
REMOVING Remove     
1 Connect vehicle with diagnostic system and begin commissioning of the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/34) Only when replacing ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/34).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-S-2000-04E
2 Disconnect electrical connections (1, 2) IMPORTANT To do this push in respective catch (3) and open lock (4).  
3 Remove ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/34) IMPORTANT To this open retaining clamps (5) and pull out ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/34) in the direction of error from retaining clamps (6).  
INSTALLING Install     
4 Install ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/34) IMPORTANT To do this insert ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/34) in retaining clamps (6) and engage in retaining clamps (5).  
5 Connect electrical connections (1, 2) IMPORTANT Secure electrical connections (1, 2) with locks (4).  
6 Complete commissioning of the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/34) with diagnostic system Only when replacing ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/34).  
7 Disconnect vehicle from diagnostic system Only when replacing ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/34).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-S-2000-04E
INSPECT Check     
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
8 Carry out an engine test run
