General
The weight sensing system (WSS) control unit (1) is located at the bottom of the seat frame base of the front passenger seat.
Function
The weight sensing system (WSS) control unit (1) determines the weight applied to the front passenger seat by means of pressure measurement in a seat mat filled with silicone.
The weight sensing system (WSS) control unit (1) sends information on the weight classification to the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) control unit.
