Location 

The overhead control panel (OCP) control unit is located in the front section of the headliner.

Task 

The overhead control panel (OCP) control unit has the following tasks:

IMPORTANT The overhead control panel (OCP [DBE]) control unit on vehicles with CODE LC4 (Comfort overhead control panel) and with CODE FY1 (Theft protection package) is used to accommodate the Anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW]) (N26/6).

Reading in of signals 

The input factors are read in via the following connections:

Direct line 

The overhead control panel (OCP) control unit reads in the signals from the following components via direct lines:

Roof LIN 

The overhead control panel (OCP) control unit reads in the signals from the following components via the roof LIN:

Evaluation of input factors 

The input factors are evaluated by the microprocessor and the relevant components are actuated.

Actuation of components 

The components are actuated via the following connections:

Direct line 

The following components are actuated via direct lines:

Alarm system LIN 

The alarm siren with additional battery (H3/1) (with CODE FY1 (Theft protection package)) is actuated via the alarm system LIN by the integrated anti-theft alarm system (ATA) control unit.
