	Remove/install
1	Remove center engine compartment lining.		AR61.20-P-1105S
2	remove corresponding front wheel.		AR40.10-P-1102A
3	Release stabilizer bar from front axle carrier.	Model 223 except code 490 (Electrohydraulic suspension) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)	AR32.35-P-2200S
4	Unclip holder (1) and remove with electric lines from spring link (2).	Model 223 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)
5	Remove suspension strut from spring link (2).	Model 223 except code 490 (Electrohydraulic suspension) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)	AR32.25-P-1017S
6	Remove spring link (2) from steering knuckle (3).	The ball head must be counterheld and an impact wrench/driver must not be used. Otherwise the ball head or steering knuckle (3) may be damaged. Nut, spring control arm to steering knuckle	*BA33.20-P-1001-01T

7	Remove nut from screw (4) and pull out screw (4).	Bolt, spring control arm to front axle carrier	*BA33.20-P-1002-01T
8	Remove spring link (2) from front axle carrier.
9	Remove pilot bushing (5) from steering knuckle (3).	: The pilot bushing (5) must be replaced. : The pilot bushing (5) must be positioned onto the spring link (2). Impact extractor	Fig 5

	Check
10	Check elastomer bearing in spring link (2) for condition, damage and variant.	The elastomer bearing variants are shown in the reference document. If there is a problem on the elastomer bearing without camber correction, ↓ replace spring link (2). If there are problems on the elastomer bearing with camber correction, ↓ replace elastomer bearing of spring link (2).	AR33.15-P-0001-01S
11	Check seal bellows and ball head of spring link (2) for damage.	If there is a problem, ↓ replace spring link (2). If an elastomer bearing with camber correction was installed, ↓ install an elastomer bearing for camber correction in the new spring link (2).	AR33.15-P-0001-01S

12	Check suspension strut linkage on spring link (2) for damage.	If there is a problem, ↓ replace spring link (2). If an elastomer bearing with camber correction was installed, ↓ install an elastomer bearing for camber correction in the new spring link (2).	AR33.15-P-0001-01S
