	Remove/install

2	Remove screws (1).	Model 254 Screw, mounting plate/contact plate to steering wheel	*BA46.10-P-1002-02C
		Model 206, 223, 236, 294, 295 Screw, mounting plate/contact plate to steering wheel.	*BA46.10-P-1002-02J
3	Remove mounting plate (2) then release and disconnect electrical connector.	Ensure correct engagement of electrical connector.
4	Remove washers of screws (1).	If washers are installed.
5	Unclip hand detection system control unit (N179) from steering wheel electronics (N135).
6	Release and disconnect electrical connectors on hand detection system control unit (N179), and remove hand detection system control unit (N179).	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function. Ensure that the electrical connectors are engaged correctly. Ensure that routing of lines is correct.
7	Install in the reverse order.
8	Connect vehicle diagnosis system and perform commissioning.	When replacing hand detection system control unit (N179).

9	Perform function test of steering wheel buttons.
