Functional Scope Of PWM Functions, PSM, Function - GF54.21-D-3010TSA
Example of function blocks
Pulse width modulation (PWM) functions
The following PWM functions can be configured using a programmable logic controller (PLC) and arithmetic blocks:
| Function | Arithmetic block | Configuration |
|---|---|---|
| Outside temperature | Outside temperature, arithmetic block | For a configuration example see "PSM arithmetic, example of PSM function" |
| Display dimming | Display dimming, filter block | For a configuration example see "PSM arithmetic, example of PSM function" |
| Vehicle speed signal | Vehicle speed signal, differentiator/integrator | For a configuration example see "PSM arithmetic, example of PSM function" |
| Interior temperature | Interior temperature, constants | For a configuration example see "PSM arithmetic, example of PSM function" |
| Terminal 58D | Terminal 58D, comparator block | For a configuration example see "PSM arithmetic, example of PSM function" |
| Engine speed | Engine speed, characteristic block | For a configuration example see "PSM arithmetic, example of PSM function" |
The travel distance is not configurable and it is always output at "MFA 15".
Freely configurable PWM
Comparable configurations can be used to generate signals with freely configurable pulse width modulation.
The freely configurable PWM can be output at the multifunction outputs 03, 06 (MFA 6), 07 and 20. For the conditioning of signals, the arithmetic unit "AU" and the PLC logic unit provide appropriate arithmetic blocks and constants for configuration.
