RP1210 Is Essentially Platform Independent

The RP 1210 API is essentially platform independent already. The various programming language interface syntax and semantics contain abstract concepts which are easily ported to other platforms, provided the platform has the computing power to support RP 1210 communications at the rates defined. The reason for the independence lies in the decisions made originally by TMC's RP1210 Update Task Force by deploying RP 1210 using Windows DLLs and INI files. These concepts are easily ported to a variety of operating systems.
