RP 1210 Revision Background: Notes

This RP has undergone four prior revisions, the original RP 1210, RP 1210A, RP 1210B (revised 6/2007), and RP 1210C (revised 5/2013). This revision, called RP1210D, presents mostly enhancements and additions to RP 1210C as requested by OEMs, software development firms specializing in onboard vehicle communications, as well as manufacturers of VDAs.
