J1939 Bam, No Longer Need To Claim An Address

Different VDA vendors have implemented BAM reception differently. Some VDA vendors allow the passing of BAM messages to the application without claiming a J1939 address. Other VDA vendors required claiming of an address (as it was originally written).

In RP 1210D, TMC will clarify this and allow the passing of BAM messages to/from the application without the need to claim an address.
