The "Name" Parameter In The "VENDORINFORMATION" INI Section

The "Name"  parameter in the "[VendorInformation]"  section of the vendor INI file shall indicate the adapter that the API represents/supports (what appears on the VDA label). The reason for this clarification comes from some RP 1210 applications not showing the Vendor Name  along with either the DLL name, or the devices supported by that particular API "on the same screen." This has caused issues with VDA vendors with multiple adapters (multiple INI file entries). For example, an application only showing the "Name"  (of the company) could present the user with the following list. For example, McMovin Systems has three different adapters, each one having a separate API:

It is suggested that at an application should show:

Doing this will keep down technical support calls to both application developers and VDA vendors because end-users will not be wondering which of the three McMovin Systems adapters to choose.

Below is an example screen snapshot that leaves no doubt in the user's mind as to which API to select for the device the end user just plugged into their USB port (the McMovin Lightsaber USB adapter).
