Speed Control Servo

NOTE: Perform the following test only when instructed to during Pinpoint Tests.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect speed control servo connector. Using a jumper wire, connect terminal No. 2 on connector to battery positive terminal. See Fig 1 . Connect second jumper from terminal No. 3 to negative battery terminal. Servo should operate.
  2. With terminal No. 2 still connected to battery power, connect terminals No. 1, 3 and 4 to negative battery terminal. Actuator should pull in. Remove terminal No. 3 from negative connection. Actuator should remain pulled in. Remove terminal No. 2 from negative battery terminal. Actuator should release immediately. If servo does not operate as specified, replace servo. If operation is correct, return to appropriate Pinpoint Test and resume testing at last step completed.
